Taxes and VAT
Tax rules are content of the country profile, not constants in code. Rules are versioned by effective date, so a June recalculation uses June rates, and each calculation step shows the rule version, the base and the rate. If a rule is missing, the system refuses instead of calculating zero.

Frequently asked questions
What happens when a rate changes?
A new version of the rule with an effective date is added to the country profile. Operations before that date are calculated at the old rate, after it at the new one.
Can I compare regimes before switching?
Yes. The comparison is built on your operations for past periods and shows the tax under each regime.
Can I adjust a rule for my needs?
Yes, with the tax configuration permission. Your rule applies instead of the standard one, and the standard one is kept.
