About the product

A3.Accounting is a bookkeeping and tax accounting system for small and medium businesses in five countries, with a simple mode for entrepreneurs and a full mode for accountants.

The product owns the ledger

A3.Accounting is the source of truth for accounting data. All consumers, including ecosystem products, receive data from it through the API and do not write to it directly. That is why A3.Finance and 1C see the same numbers.

The product works on its own and is sold separately. It keeps the books, calculates taxes and payroll, prepares tax returns and exchanges data with government systems. Signing and filing reports stay with the organization: the boundary is stated explicitly.

The product in numbers

140typical operations in the catalog
36document print forms
21permissions for roles
5national banks, rates every day

Four decisions that define the product

01

Double entry from day one

Single entries cannot be turned into double entries after the fact. A client who started on a cash-based model could not move to full accounting without re-entering all history by hand.

02

Simple mode is presentation

A simple mode user never meets the word “posting”. They choose “supplier payment”, and the system creates a correct double entry from a template.

03

Rules are versioned

The rate changed in July, so June operations are calculated under June rules. Without versions by date, any report for a past period becomes wrong after the first change in law.

04

No rule, no zero

If the country profile has no rule for an operation, the system refuses and names what is missing. A silent zero in a tax is more dangerous than a clear error.

Place in the A3 ecosystem

A3.ID handles sign-in, organizations and the data storage region. A3.HR owns HR facts, A3.Accounting owns calculations and money. A3.Sales keeps the commercial status of an order, A3.Accounting keeps the fact of money reaching the account. Any gap between them is shown in a separate report.

Geography

Five countries and six languages. The interface language is a user setting independent of the organization’s country: a Russian-speaking accountant in Mongolia is a common case. Country, time zone, currency and calendar are set separately.
